May 6, 2013 - Beth L. set a 14 minute personal half marathon best this past weekend at the Indy Mini Marathon. Her time of 1:43:03 placed her 63rd of 2280 women in her age group. Great start to the season Beth!

May 6, 2013 - Joe L. won overall last weekend at the Longboat Key Duathlon. This was Joe’s first overall Duathlon win, it shows his consistent hard work is paying off!

May 6, 2013 - John finished the brutal Cohutta 100 mile mountain bike race last weekend as a ‘fun’ training day. The course had more than 13,000 feet of climbing, rain and cold temperatures that led to a large number of DNF’s in all race distances. Now to the triathlon season!

April 22, 2013 - Jerry finished the 50 mile race (running) at the Indiana Trail 100 event this past weekend. It took place at Chain of Lakes State Park in Albion, IN. Jerry finished high in his age group and took a little over 11 hours to complete the race….he’s back training normally again after one week. That may be more of a feat than finishing the race itself, which was his first of that distance.

April 10, 2013 - Joe Livorsi had a great race this past weekend at the Double Oak Duathlon(formerly Powerman Alabama). He finished a close 2nd overall in the masters division. His finish qualified him for the age group duathlon world championships later this year!

April 10, 2013 - Joe Hysong set a personal best time at the 70.3 distance this past weekend. He raced at the Galveston 70.3 and executed his plan perfectly to set a best swim, bike, run and overall time. Great start to Joe’s triathlon season!

March 25, 2013 - John Van Alsburg finished 11th of 90 finishers in the narrowed 43-44 Men’s age group this past weekend at the Barry Roubaix 36 mile road race. Great finish for a competitive early season race in Michigan.

March 11, 2013 - Joe Livorsi won his age group and finished 2nd overall last weekend at the Wildman Sprint Duathlon. Next he’ll try and qualify for the World Duathlon Championships at the Double Oak sprint duathlon on April 6th.

March 10, 2013 - John V.A. finished the Shamrock 5k this weekend. He finished in 5th overall place, a good training race for the early season.

March 4, 2013 - Josh escaped! He braved the tough conditions and cold water at his first Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon this past weekend. He was 24th of 271 finishers in the 40-44 age group.

February 25, 2013 - Kevin had a great training day at the Polar Bear 3 mile + 5 mile doubler over the weekend, finishing 10th and 22nd in his age group in each race.

February 17, 2013 - Joe Hysong dropped his Half Marathon time from 1 hour 58 minutes to 1:50:43 this past weekend at the Ice Cube Half Marathon in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. His time was good enough for 62nd place of the 220 finishers.

February 4, 2013 - Joe Livorsi won the 40-44 age group at the Chilly Willy Duathlon(of 58 finishers) and was 15th overall (of 517 finishers). Great start to his season, and an improvement on last years result for him at this same race.

January 20, 2013 - Josh Rexing set a personal best marathon time today of 3:12:24 at the Rock ‘n Roll Arizona Marathon. His time qualified for him for his first Boston Marathon! Way to go Josh!

December 31, 2012 - Jerry, Joe H, and Jamie K competed at the HUFF Trail Run this past weekend. The trails were covered with fresh snow and ice. Jerry finished the 50km race for the 3rd straight year taking 4th place in the 55-59 age group. His time was 90 seconds faster than 2011, so a good start to his 2013 season. Joe continued his great progress into 2013 by racing the one loop 10.5 mile race, finishing in 6th place in the 50-54 age group. Jamie ran half of the 50km race as a training run, his longest run since training with Zach. He also continues to make great progress towards 2013.

December 4, 2012 - Dave and Josh finished the Las Vegas Marathon and Half Marathon this past weekend. They both finished well on the day in the very windy conditions. In the marathon Dave was 23rd in the 40-44 age group, and 148th overall of the 3233 finishers. In the 1/2 marathon Josh was 20th in the 35-39 age group and 146th overall of 22 thousand+ registered. Next for Josh is the Arizona Rock n’ Roll marathon held in January 20th in Phoenix, AZ.

November 25, 2012 - Nermin finished at Ironman Cozumel this past weekend. Despite coming from northeast Canada for this warm late season race, he raced fairly well. Nermin ended up with a 10:51 finishing time, good for 47th place among the 300+ starters in the male 35-39 age group.

November 25, 2012 - Joe H, Josh, Jaime, and Diana all raced in Turkey Trot races over the holiday. Joe raced well for being a new athlete with Zach at the Galloping Gobbler 4 miler. He had a personal best time of 30 minutes. Diana won the masters division in the 8 mile Galloping Gobbler race. Josh and Jaime were at the “6 Tunnels to Hoover Dam Turkey Trot”. Josh went into recently uncharted territory by testing his speed at a 5k road race. He finished near 19 minutes and in won his age group and placed 6th overall. Jaime also finished the race near her personal best with a 29 minute finishing time.

October 13, 2012 - Earlier this year Mark completed his goal for the last 3 years of qualifying for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. This past weekend he capped off a great season by finishing the race in Kona. A month prior to Kona he finished at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada, which he qualified for in early 2012. Kona was his 3rd Ironman of the year, along with 2 races at the 70.3 distance. Congratulations Mark on some great achievements this year!

October 5, 2012 - Diana won the masters division and was 4th female overall at the 16 mile WOOF Trail run held in Bluffton, IN this past weekend.

September 30, 2012 - Jerry, Mark, and Diana all ran at the Fort 4 Fitness half marathon. It was a training day for Mark. Jerry had a great run with a 1:35:58 and Diana finished very well with a 1:44:21 to place 4th among the 45-49 women.

September 18, 2012 - Jerry finished 4th in the 55-59 age group at the challenging Savageman Half Ironman. He was withing 1 minute of his 2010 time, on a windy day. Not bad for a guy who should be getting slower with age.

September 17, 2012 - Joe Livorsi returned to racing with an overall win in the Sprint Duathlon at the Moss Park Fall Triathlon Festival. Joe will race again in two weeks at the Fort Desoto Sprint Duathlon.

September 10, 2012 - Zach and Ken raced over the weekend in the Rev3 Cedar Point Full Distance Triathlon and Half Distance Relay events. Ken did the 56 mile bike leg of the Half distance relay and held a personal best wattage for the distance. Ken’s next race will be a 120 mile event in late September. Zach finished 8th overall in the full distance race, despite a very questionable 4 minute penalty he recieved on the bike leg of the race. He’ll now focus the rest of his season on the Miami 70.3 and Ironman Cozumel.

September 9, 2012 - Diana Schowe finished as the 2nd female overall at the Mighty Mississenewa Sprint Triathlon last weekend. She had the fastest bike split on the day for the women and a solid overall race.

September 9, 2012 - Mark, Josh, and Kristen all raced at the 70.3 Wolrd Championships in Las Vegas. With Josh and Mark coming off such big buildups to Ironman Louisiville 2 weeks prior it was going to be tough to be on top form for this race. Each of them finished respectively on a day that saw temperatures over 100 degrees. Mark will now focus his energy on racing the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii in 4 weeks. Josh will begin his much needed offseason after two Ironman and three 70.3 races this season. Kristen, coming off her top race of the year at the Steelhead 70.3, really suffered in the heat(like many athletes out their) but managed to complete her goal making it to the finish line. Congrats to all 3 of them for qualifying for this event!

August 27, 2012 - Jerry, Josh and Mark all raced in hot temperatures at Ironman Louisville. The guys all had a plan to race conservatively and not meltdown in the heat. Mark had an amazing run and moved up 23 places to finish 5th in the 40-44 men(with 460 registered athletes). He earned his first Kona spot with this performance. He’ll be competing in the World Championship races in Vegas and Kona this year. Jerry had maybe his best Ironman performance ever and finished 3rd in the 55-59 age group, just missing his spot for Hawaii. Josh once again performed well and finished 43rd of 350+ registrants in the 35-39 age group, just shy of his personal best Ironman time on a very hot day. He’ll be joining Mark to race in Vegas in 2 weeks

August 27, 2012 - Jim made it to the finish line in what we might call a “vacation race” at Ironman Canada. Congrats on another Ironman finish Jim.

August 27, 2012 - Diana raced at the competitive Chicago Olympic Triathlon. She ended up 3rd in the 45-49 age group, and 15th ametur woman overall. She had a good swim, a fast 24 mph average on the bike, and a decent run. It wasn’t quite as good as we hoped on the run, but her time would be top 3 in every female age group yesterday.

August 20, 2012 - Nermin raced at Ironman Mont Tremblant and had a personal best by 20 minutes (10:17:21) on a hillier course than his previous best (at Ironman Louisville). This was Nermins 11th Ironman, and 1st with Zach. His major improvement this race came on the run where he ran 15 minutes faster than at Louisville last year. The next race for him will be Ironman Cozumel.

August 20, 2012 - Kristen and Zach raced at the Steelhead 70.3. Kristen placed 5th in her age group after an AG best swim and 2nd best bike. Zach finished 3rd overall, and showed some small progress back to better racing form.

August 12, 2012 - Diana won the Wawasee Kiwanis sprint triathlon overall in womens race, and was 4th including the men. She improved by 1.5 minutes over last years winning time and had the fastest bike split (men included this year). The run this year was increased by .2 miles, and she still managed a faster run split this year.

August 11, 2012 - Kevin raced at the hilly Columbus Challenge olympic triathlon and showed more improvement across the board. His overall finishing position is now right at the upper 50% mark. His swim was strong again, his power numbers have increased dramatically on the bike, and he ran his fastest pace this season on the run.

August 6, 2012 - Nermin raced a local half Ironman in the Nova Scotia area as a training race for Ironman Mont Tremblat. He managed to cut 6 minutes off of last years finishing time despite having only a few days rest for the race.

July 31, 2012 - Ken raced a triathlon aquabike and took part in a MS 100 mile ride over the course of the last two weeks. Both events went well with Ken holding a high wattage relative to his FTP at both the 100 mile ride and sprint distance bike leg of the aquabike. Ken will continue to work on his swim for future aquabike races.

July 23, 2012 - Diana competed at the State 40k Time Trial and rode a 1:01:56 for a 24 mile per hour average, and won her division.

July 15, 2012 - Diana trained through and won the KPC Sprint Triathlon overall, and bettered her overall winning time from last season to improve her course record there.

July 15, 2012 - Kevin raced at the challengin Buckhead Border Challenge olympic triathlon and showed a marked improvement since racing a month ago at the Muncie Man race. His power numbers went up on the bike, he ran a faster pace, and his overall position improved in his age group.

July 8, 2012 - Josh, Jerry, Jim, and Kristen raced the Muncie 70.3 this past weekend. The race was shortened b/c of 100+ degree temperatures. Kristen was able to get a 70.3 world championship spot! Jerry had a great race and placed 3rd in the 55-59 AG, about 2 minutes from winning. Josh had a strong day placing 20th of 231 in the 35-39 age group, and Jim made it across the finish line after expecting to only swim and bike.

July 5, 2012 - Ken competed at the Medina Sizzler Time Trial and showed a big improvement in wattage to finish strong in the 27.5 mile race.

June 23, 2012 - Josh ran the Summerlin Half Marathon as a training race and placed 5th Overall.

June 11, 2012 - Diana got another victory by winning overall at the River City Sprint tri (coming from the Masters Division) and outsplit last years swim, run, and overall time

June 10, 2012 - Kevin raced at the Muncie Man triathlon over the weekend and completed his goal of finishing the race. This race marked the beginning of his comeback to serious racing after time off and rehab following a bike accident. Up next is the Boarder Challenge Olympic in July, with the Iron Distance later this season.

June 10, 2012 - Jamie K competed at the Michigan Mayhem 100 mile ride over the weekend and despite a rough day and training through the even he placed 61st of 245 riders.

June 4, 2012 - Diana placed 2nd in her age group with a great swim and solid overall time at Leon’s Triathlon near Chicago Illinois over the weekend

May 23, 2012 - Jamie K. cut nearly an hour off of his best time at the “Assault on Mt. Mitchell” ride this week. The ride is 75 miles with over 7500 feet of climbing. Great first race for Jamie for 2012.

May 21, 2012 - Diana was 2nd overall, 1st in the Masters Division, and 1st in her Age Group at the Pokagon Olympic Triathlon. Great start to her season despite some setbacks this spring.

May 21, 2012 - Ironman Texas was this past weekend. With hot temperatures and high humidity the guys from up north had their hands full, but they raced smart and limited their losses. Jerry was 3rd in the 55-59 despite two flat tires…he missed the Kona spot by one place(7′). Mark was 14th in the 40-44, moving up 10 places on the run in the largest age group in the race. Josh had a good swim, best bike yet, and fought through stomach problems on the run to finish 58th in the 35-39. Jim completed his goal of finishing with a strong swim and bike, and didn’t give up on the run. He’ll look to work on fitness over the summer for later races.

May 21, 2012 - Kristen won the overall at the Baldwin Park Sprint Triathlon in Orlando yesterday. Congrats on her first triathlon overall win.

May 14, 2012 - Jaime set a personal best time over the 10k run distance this weekend at the Mom’s Rock 10k. She should be seeing many more best times as the year goes on..

May 14, 2012 - Nermin set a personal best marathon by 18 minutes at the Fredricton Marathon, and acheived one of his goals for this year by qualifying for his first Boston Marathon in the 30-39 age group. Now for Ironman Training.

May 1, 2012 - In his first race with Zach as his coach, Nermin beat his 6 year old 5k p.r. by 55 seconds over the weekend with an 18:25. He’ll be looking to beat his best Marathon in 2 weeks.

April 24, 2012 - Vegas Bound! Mark Miller and Josh Rexing will both be going to the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Las Vegas later this year after their performances in New Orleans and Galveston.

April 24, 2012 - New Orleans 70.3: The race was converted into a run/bike/run duathlon because of high winds. At the race Jerry was 4th in the 55-59 AG, Mark was 6th in the 40-44 AG, Kristen was 15th in the 30-34 AG, and Zach was 10th overall of the Pro Men. More on the blog page.

April 16, 2012 - Josh and Jaime raced at the Summerlin Half Marathon. Jaime had a P.R. time and Josh finished 5th overall and first in his age group on the tough course.

April 15, 2012 - Kristen sets P.R.’s at the 5k and Half Marathon distance over the span of 2 weeks at the Corporate 5k (21:39) and the Torrey Pines Half Marathon (1:39:21).

April 6, 2012 - Josh Rexing fights the heat and stomach issues to place 22nd (of 290) in the 35-39 age group at the U.S. Ironman 70.3 Championships in Galveston. TX.
